For the purposes of this program, personal information that will be required as part of the application process includes, but is not limited to, your name, home address, telephone number, e-mail address, bill of sale or lease contract, copy of vehicle registration, residency verification (driver’s license or other appropriate form of identification) and photograph.
Personal information is collected at the time of application for a rebate, either through completing the online form, email, or mail. Additional information may be gathered through the supporting documentation process required to complete your rebate. In certain circumstances, supplemental information may be required from you by phone or e-mail.
The Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER) takes great care to ensure that all information is protected against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or alteration of the information provided as part of the DRIVE rebate application process. Federal and state guidelines are followed to protect the information stored through physical and web-based resources through a host of security measures, including through secure access to the area where information is processed; storing all physical confidential information within locked filing cabinets or desks; saving electronic data on a secure network location; and password protecting data files.
OER will not share your information with any third parties not involved in the rebate application process, unless otherwise compelled to by State or Federal law. Information that does not identify you on an individual basis may be included and aggregated with other consumers’ information for programmatic and statistical reporting purposes.
